2017 URGE Summer Camp
Please join URGE for the first ever URGE Summer Camp! This summer, we will be bringing together two student leaders from each chapter and city activist network in all of our states - AL, GA, KS, TX, & OH - to deepen our analysis of reproductive justice, learn creative tactics and strategies for campus and community organizing, and build a facilitative leadership approach.
The summer camp will consist of leadership development, direct action, facilitation training, and cultural organizing. The goal is to expand our skills to be able to facilitate and build the leadership of our members within our chapters and activist networks as we kick off the Fall.
URGE will help arrange carpools to the airport or location and will reimburse the entire cost of travel for participants, including airfare, gas/mileage, parking, tolls, etc. Most meals will be covered during the summer camp. We ask participants who are able to pay a nominal fee of $25 per person -- there is also a scholarship application for those with financial hardship.
Once you have registered, stay tuned for an email regarding flight and travel logistics.
